NEW MEXICO TSIYON MEETING:
We've been posting here about this upcoming meeting over the last few weeks, and now we are almost there! Thank you, to all who have responded. Recently, Sheila, our Tsiyon Hospitality Coordinator, sent out an email to all the folks who have responded, with information about this meeting. Following is some of what she had to say:

Hi Tsiyon Fans!

The meeting in Albuquerque is on!

..The format of the meeting will be very informal with the goal to get to know other Tsiyon fans in the area. We might even be able to talk with Eliyahu and Dawn by phone during the meeting!

..If you cannot make it for the entire meeting time, just come spend what time you have with us. Hope it works out that all of you can make this date and time frame. I don't know about you all but I am very excited to meet all of you!

Listener Comment - Idolatry, hands are tied circumstances?
   I totally understand what you mean concerning idolatry but hypothetically speaking aren't there circumstances where people's hands are tied? e.g. the situation of Naaman:
   2 Kings 5:18-19In this thing the Lord pardon thy servant, that when my master goeth into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leaneth on my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon: when I bow down myself in the house of Rimmon, the Lord pardon thy servant in this thing. 19 And he said unto him, Go in peace. So he departed from him a little way.(KJV)

Tsiyon Answer - Idolatry, hands are tied circumstances
You raise an interesting point. However, contrast Naaman with Daniel, who was willing to die rather than commit idolatry (Dan 3). The difference? Daniel was a party to the Covenant, while Naaman was a foreigner, not an Israelite.

Prophecy In The News

Often, when we broadcast a new Tsiyon radio message on some aspect of prophecy, a news article will emerge in the news on the very same topic! For example, during the week of our last program, Unrestricted Warfare Revisited #284, we saw several news items dealing with cyber war, one aspect of Unrestricted Warfare reported on in our program. One example is copied below. We thought this item to be interesting, showing the cyber war to be ramping up on both sides.

China military paper urges steps against U.S. cyber war threat By Chris Buckley | Reuters – Thu, 16 Jun, 2011

BEIJING (Reuters) - China must boost its cyber-warfare strength to counter a Pentagon push, the country's top military newspaper said on Thursday after weeks of friction over accusations that Beijing may have launched a string of Internet hacking attacks.

The accusations against China have centered on an intrusion into the security networks of Lockheed Martin Corp and other U.S. military contractors, and deceptions intended to gain access to the Google e-mail accounts of U.S. officials and Chinese human rights advocates.

But the official newspaper of the People's Liberation Army said it was Beijing that was vulnerable to attack, in a news report that surveyed the Pentagon's efforts in cyber security.

"The U.S. military is hastening to seize the commanding military heights on the Internet, and another Internet war is being pushed to a stormy peak," concluded the report in the Chinese-language Liberation Army Daily.

"Their actions remind us that to protect the nation's Internet security, we must accelerate Internet defense development and accelerate steps to make a strong Internet army," said the Liberation Army Daily article. The article was also published on the website of China's Ministry of Defense (http://www.mod.gov.cn).

Although it does not amount to an official government statement, the report in the military newspaper -- which is closely vetted to reflect official thinking -- shows how China is also focused on the issues of Internet attacks and defense.

"Although our country has developed into an Internet great power, our Internet security defenses are still very weak. So we must accelerate development of Internet battle technology and armament," said the report.

"Comprehensively improve our military's ability to defend the Internet frontiers," it urged. Earlier this month, U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Washington was seriously concerned about cyber-attacks and prepared to use force against any it considered acts of war.

For that reason we think it is timely to re-air book tour interviews we did in 2009, since those interviews discuss some things that are now unfolding before our eyes. Of course, we have added many new listeners who never heard these programs, who will now hear them for the first time. For our old timers, these are worth hearing again, in light of developments since these interviews were first aired. Also, these programs are a great way to introduce Tsiyon to friends who haven't listened as yet.
