It was my birthday well over a month ago. The truth is, I don't usually pay much attention to my birthday, but this year I promised myself a little birthday indulgence. I heard a major epic movie would be coming out about "Noah" - though I would have to wait for it, seeing that movie in the theater would be my birthday present to myself. This last week the waiting was over and I finally got to see the film. It turns out that I gave myself the worst birthday present I have ever received. The movie had almost no resemblance to the "Noah" account in the Bible, instead recasting that story into a new age, evolutionist, environmentalist nightmare with Noah coming off as some sort of deranged serial killer! ...Really, it was that bad!
Why am I telling you this ..besides saving you the cost of a wasted ticket, that is? Because this movie is indicative of the latest wind of anti-YHWH propaganda to be foisted on the public by the mentally diseased mind-control machine collectively referred to as "Hollywood." With few exceptions in recent years, Hollywood has maintained a policy of either ignoring the Bible or, if not ignoring it, portraying it as flawed, backward and ignorant. This Noah movie takes that irreverence to the next level. Now, Hollywood will give us their new version of the Bible, replete with "special effects" - all designed to inculcate their twisted amorality into the population while simultaneously inducing unsuspecting viewers to hate their Creator. Those of us who know the real Bible could refer to the Hollywood version as "The Gospel According to Satan." Unfortunately, the great masses of viewers know little or nothing of the real Bible, and never will. For them, the Hollywood Noah, and the Hollywood god, are the only versions they will ever be open to receive. Make no mistake, reverent attitudes toward God and the Bible are very deliberately under assault, using the Bible itself, to make countless new recruits to the mindset of the new world order.
By way of contrast, Eliyahu ben David Bet Midrash is a voice crying in the wilderness with the authentic message of the Torah, and the Scriptures generally. Our goal with the Midrash is to simply understand what the Scriptures are actually saying, and to declare that authentic message, i.e. the truth. Yes, we are recruiting also. We are reaching out through the darkness to connect with truth-lovers everywhere. People who have had enough of the lies and distortions of both religion and the world. People who want to know the real God of the Bible and the real story of what He has done, Who He is, what He wants, and where He is going with His creation. For the last 70 weeks we have been going through each and every verse of the Torah, verse by verse, to honestly uncover that truth. With our 70th program we conclude our intense investigation of the Book of Exodus. Amazingly, we have uncovered what is undeniably the central core of the Book that has been overlooked by generations up until now. This is revolutionary truth of the highest order. This is truth desperately needed by this generation!
