From Eliyahu

Hello friends,

I'm not sure, but I think we might have gone through a wormhole into an alternate universe this last week. More likely, its some of those Last Days surprises we get from time to time. Anyway, strange things have been happening that you would never expect. As evidence I submit the photo below, taken in greater Austin Texas at our Tsiyon Headquarters just a few days ago. Yes, those are actual snowmen created by joyful young people in the midst of an actual snowstorm - right here in the deep South. I'm told by a long-time resident of the area that nothing like this has happened here in over 50 years. It certainly hasn't happened in the two decades or so I've been here.

 Tsiyon Snowmen

"Very strange" you say? No doubt. And yet, something even stranger happened shortly before this unusual event. What could be even stranger that that?

Trump recognizes JerusalemOn December 6, 2017 the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel - something no other USA President has ever officially done. Something that has horrified the world. Despite the panicked responses, this declaration really shouldn't be considered strange, since saying "Jerusalem is the Capital of Israel" is simply a factual statement. Sort of like saying "bees make honey" or "the sky is blue." However, since 1980 when Israel passed the Jerusalem Law (which states the obvious truth that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel) the rest of the world, represented by the United Nations, has been fighting tirelessly to deny that reality. In this, they have not only been fighting against reality. They have, in fact, been fighting against YHWH, who said:

‘Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be prince over my people Israel: but I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and I have chosen David to be over my people Israel.’ 2 Chronicles 6:5-6

3000 years of Biblical HistoryJerusalem has had a very eventful history in the three thousand years since those words were written, all of which confirm Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Further, all of that history was predicted in advance by the prophets, as written in Scripture. Their testimony confirms that Jerusalem is and will be the God-given capital of Israel until the end of time. Through those prophets YHWH predicted the exile of Israel and the Jewish people from Jerusalem - two exiles from Jerusalem actually - followed by a return each time. This is unheard of in the history of the world to have happened even once, that a people dispersed from their land would later return there to reclaim their capital city. Yet, this has happened with Judah - TWICE! Is this not enough proof that YHWH has not changed His mind about Jerusalem as the capital of Israel?

In fact, YHWH even told us in advance about this very conflict over Jerusalem that we are now witnessing during this Last Days generation, saying;

An oracle. The word of YAHWEH concerning Israel. YAHWEH, who stretches out the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him says: "Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling to all the surrounding peoples, and on Judah also will it be in the siege against Jerusalem. It will happen in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples. All who burden themselves with it will be severely wounded, and all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against it. Zechariah 12:1-3

As we have seen in this last week, this prophetic word is hastening on toward a complete fulfillment in our day. No doubt, this declaration of President Trump, recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital, is historically, spiritually, and Biblically significant. What does it mean for us? Time will tell, but it could be a factor in opening the way for the remnant of all twelve tribes of Israel to return to our Land, to join our tribal brothers from Judah who are already there. After all, Jerusalem is the capital of all I-S-R-A-E-L and not just Judah, i.e. the "Jews."

Indeed, prophecy tells us a return from all the scattered tribes of Israel must happen:

Thus says ADONAI YAHWEH: Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his companions; and I will put them with it, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in my hand. The sticks whereon you write shall be in your hand before their eyes. Say to them, Thus says ADONAI YAHWEH: Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, where they are gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all; and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.. Ezekiel 37:19-22

Some people might say that this is about as likely as snowmen in Texas. To that I say: "exactly."

What is truth? The picture to the right reminds us; there is no city on earth with such a history as Jerusalem. It is the place where the Son of Elohim, Y'shua Messiah, was unjustly murdered by the Romans, and it will be the place where He will rule over Israel and the world. Of course, the Romans couldn't see who Y'shua is. They were not anymore spiritually aware than the United Nations of today, nor did they recognize truth any better. This is shown in this short interchange between the Roman Governor Pilate and Messiah:

..Yeshua answered, “..For this reason I have been born, and for this reason I have come into the world, that I should testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”

Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” John 18:37-38

Pilate stands for the governments of this world. Like Pilate, they know no absolute truth. To them, truth is whatever they fantasize it to be. To Messiah, there is an objective truth, and He came to testify to that truth. Those who are of the truth will listen to Him. That's exactly why we are going verse by verse through the Gospels right now. We want to pay attention to the truth that is found in the life and words of our Messiah, and in the Word of Truth which He upholds.

Join us tonight, at 8 PM CST at Tsiyon.Net for our online meeting, as we learn more of the truth from Him.

Shalom,

Eliyahu ben David

Trump recognizes Jerusalem as Israel’s capital

US president defies warnings from Arab and world leaders, Abbas says US can no longer play role in peace efforts

WASHINGTON — Delighting Israel’s leadership and defying dire, worldwide warnings, US President Donald Trump on Wednesday broke with decades of US and international policy by recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Trump recognizes JerusalemDespite urgent appeals from Arab and European leaders and the risk of anti-American protests and violence, Trump declared that he was ending an approach that for decades has failed to advance the prospects for peace. He also for the first time personally endorsed the concept of a “two-state solution” for Israel and the Palestinians, provided both sides agree to it.

“I have determined that it is time to officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel,” he said in a White House address, calling it “overdue” and in the best interests of the United States. He said recognition acknowledged the “obvious” fact that Jerusalem is the seat of Israel’s government despite the disputed status that is one of the key elements in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

“This is nothing more or less than the recognition of reality,” he said.

Trump also directed that the State Department begin the process of moving the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem as required by US law. Officials said, however, that the move will take years to complete.

Trump maintained that his decision would not compromise the city’s geographic and political borders, which will still be determined by Israel and the Palestinians.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised Trump, saying Israel was “profoundly grateful.”

“This is a historic day,” Netanyahu said in a video message. “We’re profoundly grateful for the president for his courageous and just decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to prepare for the opening of the US embassy here.”

Netanyahu said the move reflected Trump’s “commitment to an ancient but enduring truth, to fulfilling his promises and to advancing peace.”

The PLO isn't happyDelivering his own address after Trump’s, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said the US could no longer be seen as a facilitator of peace talks.

“These reprehensible and rejected measures constitute a deliberate undermining of all peace efforts and represent a declaration that the United States has withdrawn from playing the role it has played in the past decades in sponsoring the peace process,” he said.

Turkey led Muslim opposition with Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu calling it against international law.

“We condemn the irresponsible statement of the US Administration declaring that it recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and it will be moving the US Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem,” he wrote on Twitter. “This decision is against international law and relevant UN Resolutions.”

Even America’s closest allies in Europe questioned the wisdom of Trump’s radical departure from the past US position, which was studiously neutral over the sovereignty of the city.

“This is a regrettable decision that France does not approve of and goes against international law and all the resolutions of the UN Security Council,” French President Emmanuel Macron said.

UN chief Antonio Guterres spoke out against what he called “unilateral measures” that jeopardize the prospect for peace for Israelis and Palestinians.

“In this moment of great anxiety, I want to make it clear: there is no alternative to the two-state solution. There is no Plan B,” he said, without mentioning Trump’s speech.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said work on moving the embassy would start immediately.

“We have consulted with many friends, partners, and allies in advance of the President making his decision. We firmly believe there is an opportunity for a lasting peace,” he said in a statement.

“The State Department will immediately begin the process to implement this decision by starting the preparations to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.”

However, he also said the US was gearing up for unrest in response to the decision.

“The safety of Americans is the State Department’s highest priority, and in concert with other federal agencies, we’ve implemented robust security plans to protect the safety of Americans in affected regions,” Tillerson said.

Ahead of Trump’s speech, Arab and Muslim leaders spoke about the potential for violence. In Gaza, hundreds of Palestinian protesters burned American and Israeli flags. They also waved Palestinian flags and banners proclaiming Jerusalem as their “eternal capital,” language that Israelis similarly use for their nation.

Jerusalem includes the holiest ground in Judaism. It’s also home to Islam’s third-holiest shrine and major Christian sites, and any perceived harm to Muslim claims to the city has triggered protests in the past, in the Holy Land and beyond.

America’s consulate in Jerusalem has ordered US personnel and their families to avoid visiting Jerusalem’s Old City or the West Bank, and urged American citizens in general to avoid places with increased police or military presence.

Jerusalem hospital Shaare Zedek told emergency room staff to prepare for possible violence that could break out following the speech Wednesday night.

Staff were asked to be “on call” for the next three days in anticipation of increased casualties in clashes in and around Jerusalem.

See this video! - September 23, 2017, we were told, would be the date of The Great Sign of Revelation 12. Dire end-of-the-world predictions were made. Yet, after that day of "The Great Sign" came and went, and the predictions failed to materialize, we heard little if anything explaining the failure. This was not the first time this has happened, and won't be the last. Why? Signs in the sky are foretold in Scripture for the last days. True to that prophecy, unusual heavenly signs do occur. In fact, signs in the sky often cause a clamor, with predictions of rapture and the end of the world. Yet, these signs come and go, and the predicted events fail to happen. This, of course, provides an opportunity for scoffers to gloat. Why does this keep happening? Could it be that these signs are significant, but they mean something different than YouTube preachers have guessed? There is, in fact, a unified message in these sky signs. This video, "The Heavens Speak" reveals what that message is.
