Online December Meetings: December is just such a crazy month. Everything is so jammed up everywhere including jammed phone lines and technical problems. We are going to wait all that out. Our only remaining meeting this month will be on Monday Evening, 8 PM EST, December 29,2008. This meeting will be open to all of our Tsiyon Ministry Partners and Sons and Daughters of Tsiyon. We'll be sending you an email for that. All other meetings this month are cancelled and will resume in January.

Responding to Global Crisis
 Listener Comment: Yes, Eliyahu, the letter talks about Christians "raising their voices" - HUH! Christian voices are being silenced all over the world...they don't move anything anymore. And the Constitution.... HUH!! It's been trodden upon for YEARS....Christian voices have not touched that... Our very Income Taxes are unconstitutional!, to mention just one. Thanks for sharing this - and your feelings about what we should do. I'm in agreement with you.

Eliyahu: The article you mention was in Tsiyon Messianic Radio Newsletter Vol 3.49. Thanks for commenting upon it, because your comments allow me to say some things I've been thinking about generally.

   Here's what's on my mind: 

   In the article cited above we quote a Christian writer who was raising the alarm over serious Constitutional issues regarding President-elect Obama. That writer laid out 5 crises he saw as threatening America and the world. Indeed, there is a growing list of crises that we all are getting more familiar with each day. The writer was calling upon Christians to pray for the Supreme Court and the government to "do what's right" in regard to the issues he raised.
   Now, time has gone by and we can see the effect of those prayers. The affect was: absolutely ZERO!
   Why?
   The answer is simple. Free will. The leaders of the nations of the world have chosen a course opposed to YHWH and His Messiah and they are going to follow that course through all the way to the final showdown. This is their clear choice and the reason why this world is sinking into chaos. Has not YHWH long ago told us about this day?: Why have the nations raged and the peoples are meditating on vanity? The kings of the earth set themselves; yea, the rulers have plotted together against YHWH and His Anointed, saying, We will break their bands in two, and throw off their cords from us. He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; YHWH shall mock at them. Then He will speak to them in His anger, and He will terrify them in His wrath. Psalm 2:1-5
   The Christians who keep praying for this world to "do what's right" are totally out of touch with reality, not to mention the stated will of YHWH. YHWH is not going to save this sinking world system simply because Christians pray for it to survive! He determined long ago that He would let this world system reap what it has sown, and that is exactly what He is now doing. Why do professed believers keep trying to "make the world a better place" when YHWH says the world is worthless and is going to be destroyed? Did they never read verses like this: Don’t love the world, neither the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s. The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever. Galatians 6:7-8, 1 Yochanan/1 John 2:15-17
   Many professed believers are panicked right now. Their prayers for the world to improve aren't working and they are afraid of losing all they have invested in the world. Perhaps what they really should be praying about is this: why have they been investing so much of their lives in the world and so little in the Kingdom?
   Perhaps they would do better to repent of chasing after the lusts of the world and instead live to do the Father's Will! If they really were doing that they would have no reason to panic. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of YHWH, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:1-2
   So many today say that YHWH is their refuge, while at the same time giving their lives to amassing stocks, bonds, insurance, and a big bank account as their real security. Should they be surprised to see YHWH ripping all of that away? No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. You aren’t able to serve God and mammon.” They would do well to hear the word of Elijah: Elijah came near to all the people, and said, “How long will you waver between the two sides? If YHWH is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.” Luke 16:13, 1 Kings 18:21
   Do you want to know how to prepare for the financial crisis? Here is Messiah's advice: Do not keep investing in this world because this world is doomed. Instead, set your focus beyond this world to the prize that lies in the world to come. Anything that you have amassed beyond your family's reasonable needs will soon be lost as the present financial crisis escalates. Sell it while you can and invest it in the Kingdom, while it can still do some good. Then you will have treasure in Heaven to see you through the troubled days ahead. (See Matthew 6:33, 13:43-46, 19:21, Luke 12:15-34, Heb 12:1-3)
   Finally: Here is what I said before and it is worth repeating: The manifold crisis now falling upon the world are a direct result of judgment from heaven against the world system. The only correct response for all true subjects of the Kingdom of Heaven is to choose not to oppose the will of YHWH and to stand neutral in regard to the affairs of the kingdoms of mankind. Ultimately all of the world's governments will be declared null and void, as the only rightful King and Ruler, Y'shua the Messiah, will take up His reign over all the earth. To embroil ourselves in the affairs of the political governments of this world during their final death throes is to polish the brass on a sinking ship. It is a vain thing. The faithful remnant of Israel is our nation and the Kingdom of Messiah is our government. Forever and ever. Amen.
   Pray for the deliverance of the righteous and for the glory of YHWH to be revealed, then you will be praying in concert with the divine will and purpose.
