Recently I wrote an email that spoke about this, and I thought I would share excerpts from that with you now. Those comments follow below:

Jonathan David Brown and Tsiyon Radio

I had the opportunity to meet Jonathan on only one occasion in my life. He was doing a music gig at a small Christian gathering (decidedly NOT the KKK) where he was performing some of his own music. It was the first time I had ever heard him or seen him perform and to say I was impressed with his performance would be an understatement. He was obviously a man filled with the Spirit of YHWH exercising a spiritual gift in an amazing way. I couldn't believe that I was hearing this world-class talent in a friend's living room!

At that gathering I had a chance to talk with Jonathan, and he invited Dawn and I to return to his home to visit he and his family for a while. What I observed there was a home filled with the peace and order of YHWH, as you probably have also observed in exceptional Christian families you may have visited. It seems outrageous to even have to tell you there was absolutely nothing in his home, in his family or in himself suggesting him to be a "skin head" or "white supremacist" or "KKK." Why would there be? The gathering we both had attended was a normal mixed-race Christian group in which Jonathan had no problem fellowshipping with everyone.

At Jonathan's home I met Jonathan's well-ordered children and his lovely wife, daughter of [a famous Christian teacher who did extensive mission work in Africa (which I also have done)]. What I saw there was an outstanding believing family fully dedicated to the Lord.

There was one difference between Jonathan and many of the others at the Christian gathering I had attended. He was dedicated to Torah observance while the majority of others had the more typical Evangelical anti-Torah position. This is probably why he and I ended up gravitating together, since I am also more of an "Old Testament" kind of guy. At that time YHWH had been leading me into revelation about Biblical Time, so it was natural that Jonathan and I ended up talking about that. He told me he had written a booklet on the subject and gave me a copy, which I took home with me. Frankly, my book on the topic is much more extensive, citing some input from Brown's booklet, among MANY other sources. His booklet is good though, and well worth reading [and certainly has no KKK ads in it].

He also gave me a copy of his "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" CD, which had songs on it that I had heard him perform earlier. I asked him if I could use his music from the CD in my upcoming radio program, and he graciously allowed that, at no charge. That is how I came to use his music on my program. After that I fell out of touch with Jonathan, since we are both very busy, each in our own respective spheres, and we do not generally move in the same circles. Frankly, other than his booklet, his songs, and the fact that he is a Torah-keeper, I don't know anything about the specifics of Jonathan's doctrine. His manner of life and the obvious Spirit of YHWH upon him, along with his Spirit-packed music, tell me with confidence who this man really is. I felt and continue to feel that my single meeting with him that day was a divine appointment.

So what about the very ugly "documentation" on the internet? I don't believe it for a second, but even if it is all true that is not who Jonathan is today. Who he is now is what matters to me and I will not drop his music from my program just because a vicious and faceless coward has chosen to publicly spoil Jonathan on the internet with ugly reports from 20 years ago.

What about those reports, and a conviction, all originating with the same gv agency? That's all got to be true, right?

I mean, the gv is always trustworthy and above board, right? You know, the good guys, like on TV?

Unfortunately, in the real world these people often make up and "document" stuff to blackmail citizens into doing what they want. Those brave enough to stand against such tactics are subsequently ruined by the false "documentation" - and in at least one case, had to suffer the brutal gv-perpetrated murder of family members.

I have never asked Jonathan what happened, but here is what I see when I read between the lines of the "official" version of Jonathan's story. Here is a brilliant musician working with the brightest stars of the Christian music industry, headed for musical super-stardom. Do you know what it takes to perform at that level? Total 24 hour dedication to your music! We are to believe that this same brilliant musician in the Christian music industry was a secret "white supremacist, skinhead, KKK member" who is an accomplice to synagogue shooting in his spare time! This is producing music for main-line Christian music artists by day and burning KKK crosses by night (wait! Musicians are doing their music at night too)!

Give me a break! Any third-grader should be able to put 2 and 2 together here, to realize this entire case was a fabrication along the lines of RR above. Can I prove that. No. These people are pros who are well able to cover their tracks better than that. That doesn't mean that some version of the most obvious probability is not the truth. Given a choice between the man I met and those who ruin people for a living as part of their job - I choose Jonathan, and I don't believe I'm wrong.

Here's a question for you: what great man of Scripture either was actually a criminal at some time in his life - or was wrongly accused of being a criminal?

Answer: Pretty much ALL of them!

YHWH doesn't care what you were, or what somebody else says you were. He cares about who you really are! True son's and daughters of the Living God see as He sees - and what the rest think doesn't really matter.
