Yom Kippur Fulfilled:

For Messiah hasn’t entered into holy places made with hands, which are representations of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; nor yet that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters into the holy place year by year with blood not his own, or else He must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once at the end of the ages, He has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. Inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once, and after this, judgment, so Messiah also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, without sin, to those who are eagerly waiting for Him for salvation.  Hebrews 9:24-28

I'm confused about whether people will die in the 1,000 year reign?

Here is a short survey of Revelation 19&20 that I hope will help.

Revelation 19 covers these events: Return of Messiah in Glory, Marriage of the Lamb, Armageddon.

Revelation 20 gives us this sequence of events relevant to the 1000 reign:

Beginning of the 1000 Years

1. Satan and demons imprisoned until the end of the 1000 years. (vs 1-3)

2. Exaltation of  "first resurrection" overcomers to rule for the 1000 years. (vs 4-6)

End of the 1000 Years

3. Satan released and inspires a rebellion at the end of the 1000 years, which is promptly put down with the rebels destroyed. (vs. 7-9)

4. Satan and demons then immediately thrown into the Lake of Fire. (vs 10)

5. Rest of dead mankind from all ages to be raised and judged at the end of the 1000 years at Great White Throne Judgment. (vs. 5, 11-15)

The overcomers who are raised in the "first resurrection" just before the 1000 years will be immortal and incorruptible. This group includes all who have overcome "in Christ" in all ages including those then still alive of that same group. These immortals will rule as Kings and Priests with Messiah for the 1000 years and can never die. This is the advantage of the first resurrection. (Rev 20:4-6, 1 Cor 15:51-58, 1 Thess 4:13-18)

All other surviving humans still on earth through the 1000 years will continue to be mortals, which means they can still die if they willfully sin against the Kingdom. This is proven by the fact that when rebels from among them attack the Holy City at the end of the 1000 years these wayward mortals are promptly "devoured" by fire from heaven. "Death will be no more" only after the Great White Throne Judgment is concluded, as mankind then enters into the eternal state. (Rev 21)

Let's "press on toward the goal" and seize the prize of  the "better resurrection"! (Heb 11:35, Php 3:10-14)

Listener Comment - What is Hell?
We recently received a tract entitled "Will God Punish the Wicked Forever?" It talks about the reality of Hell and what that will be like, and it attempts to give proof for the lost simply no longer existing rather than the more "popular" view of eternal hell fires. The only argument that we have been unable to disagree with is one of whether or not we are created as eternal beings or if that is actually the gift of salvation. It comes down to the definition of the words incorruptible and immortal. There are very few of either of these words found, and they are all found in the New Testament. I'm not sure really what we are asking, other than what is it that Hell actually is in your understanding?
