Christian or a Believer?

Think about it?????

What are we? Are we a Christian or a believer? What is the difference? And what difference does it make? Here is my side of it - you will just have to make up your own mind. 

Studies tell us that around 80% of the people of America claim to be Christian. Now what does that mean? I sometimes wonder if you claim to be a Christian, how you could vote for people that want innocent babies to be torn out of a women’s womb to be killed?

Isaiah 49:5 “And now said יהוה – who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, to bring Yaʽaqoḇ back to Him, though Yisra’ĕl is not gathered to Him, yet I am esteemed in the eyes of יהוה, and My Elohim has been My strength”

Jeremiah 1:5  “Before I formed you in the belly I knew you, and before you came out of the womb I did set you apart – I appointed you a prophet to nations.”

This is an interesting quote from the Scriptures. Now just think about this one. Maybe, just maybe, one of the aborted children that was formed in the womb and set a part, was the one that would find the cure for cancer. Just saying.

Would a believer in whom read the above verses be able to back someone or be silent about this?

Romans 1:21  “because, although they knew Elohim, they did not esteem Him as Elohim, nor gave thanks, but became vain in their reasonings, and their undiscerning heart was darkened.

Romans 1:22  Claiming to be wise, they became fools,”

How about the politically correct thing that is going on now about the GAY agenda? Every TV show has its token gay on it. Every week we see another state giving into same sex marriages. I bet this is one of those States that claim to be 80% Christian.

Romans 1:25 “who changed the truth of Elohim into the falsehood, and worshipped and served what was created rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amĕn.

Rom 1:26 Because of this Elohim gave them over to degrading passions. For even their women exchanged natural relations for what is against nature,

Rom 1:27 and likewise, the men also, having left natural relations with woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing indecency, and receiving back the reward which was due for their straying.

Rom 1:28 And even as they did not think it worth- while to possess the knowledge of Elohim, Elohim gave them over to a worthless mind, to do what is improper,

Rom 1:29  having been filled with all unrighteousness, whoring, wickedness, greed, evil; filled with envy, murder, fighting, deceit, evil habits; whisperers,

Rom 1:30 slanderers, haters of Elohim, insolent, proud, boasters, devisers of evils, disobedient to parents,

Rom 1:31 without discernment, covenant breakers, unloving, unforgiving, ruthless;

Rom 1:32 who, though they know the righteousness of Elohim, that those who practice such deserve death, not only do the same but also APPROVE of those who practice them.”

WOW, did you catch that last verse? It says, if I discerned this verse right, not only are the ones doing these evil things, BUT the ones that APPROVE of the practice, will also be in a world of hurt. It says there will be a time that we will be taught these things and I believe that time is now. The church is even being pulled into this and approving of same sex marriages and so forth.

2 Timothy 4:3 “For there shall be a time when they shall not bear sound teaching, but according to their own desires, they shall heap up for themselves teachers tickling the ear,”

 In the following scripture you will find what is going on today in Christianity.

 Isaiah 30:10 “who say to the seers, “Do not see,” and to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us what is right. Speak to us what is smooth, prophesy deceits.”

I believe it should be coming clear to you by now the differences in being a Christian versus a True BELIEVER.  A believer will, or should, hold fast to the Scriptures. If you can do this you have answered the question. If you just want to go to Church and go along with the status quo, watering down the WORD and going along with the world views. You might just be a Christian.

I don't want anyone to think that I am running down your church. You will have to be the one to discern where your church stands on controversial issues. If you believe the Scriptures are the complete Word and there is no room for changes, then you might just be a true believer.  

One more thing, I don't want anyone to think that I have an agenda, I just used abortion and gay rights issues because it is so controversial in the world. There are many more issues that can be added to this list, but I wanted to write a letter not a book.
