Have you noticed? It is really dark out there.

Indications of just how dark are all around us.

For example, have you heard of Sophia the robot?

It is the first robot to obtain citizenship. Soon after that, it was addressing the United Nations. Do you understand the implications of that?

Only people - actual human beings - are created in the image of God. As such, only actual people have God-given rights. Recognition of those God-given rights by society is the bedrock of an enlightened civilization.

When corporations were ruled to be entities with the same equal rights as actual people it was a dark day for humanity. It turns out, some are more equal than others. A corporation has vastly superior resources compared with most individual people. When corporations were given "equal rights" with people, then the individual's rights were significantly diminished, because the individual cannot hope to stand against the vast power of the corporation. In reality, this was a move to rob everyday people of their fundamental rights and to shift their power into the hands of the moneyed elite, who control the corporations. At this point, most people don't even know this is an issue. That is a major indicator of the darkness that has descended upon humanity.

Now, machines that are made to look like people are given citizenship, and then that citizen status of a machine is supported by the United Nations.

All the United Nations rhetoric I've heard claims that the UN is a champion of "human rights."

Really? If that were true then how could the UN possibly abide machines becoming citizens? When the UN cannot discern between the status of a machine and that of actual humans, the implication for humanity is grim.

When the tools of a person [a robot is a tool] are granted the same status as the human who uses them, then "human rights" cease to exist. Endowing machines with the same citizen rights as actual people is both unprecedented and patently absurd. More than that, it is, in reality, another major step by the moneyed elite toward the total enslavement of mankind. That this can happen while the ignorant masses titter and smile at the "cute" robot is a major indicator of just how dark 21st century civilization has become.

Many people are fooled by modern technology into thinking modern society is "enlightened."

The case of Sophia is just one of many indicators showing that is not true at all.

Technology has its benefits, but it also has a major drawback. It serves as a force-multiplier for the rich and powerful. Using modern technology to effectively amplify their power, they have managed to engineer "scientific" deceptions and social changes that have locked most of the human race in moral and spiritual darkness. Through the use of technology, the elite have gathered, and are gathering, mountains of data on every human on the planet, by which, unprecedented control of the individual becomes possible for the first time in history. While the illusion of enlightenment is maintained, the reality is that civilization is fast sinking into the darkest age the world has ever seen. This will reach its climax in the upcoming Great Tribulation.

The Scripture speaks of these very days when it says:

For, behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples;
but YAHWEH will arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you.
Isaiah 60:2

How are you being affected by the gross darkness of this world?

Do you perceive where this is all heading? Are you investing your time and effort into your spiritual life, to be ready for the inevitable crisis now descending upon humanity? Will you be one of those who reveals the light and glory of YHWH during that crisis - or will you be swallowed up by the "gross darkness" descending upon the earth?

These are serious questions that none can escape - whether they deal with them now or later.

Messiah foresaw all of this, and paints a picture of warning for us, in Matthew 25:1-13.
