Hello Friends,

Not long ago I heard a major political leader in a nationally televised speech say to the effect that his nation, the United States of America, is the greatest nation that ever existed. Of course, he received great applause for saying that. Meaning no disrespect to him or the USA, the minute I heard him say that, I knew that he was wrong. While the USA is a great country, it is not the greatest nation ever. The greatest nation that ever existed is the nation composed of the Twelve Tribes of Israel, that YHWH liberated from Egypt and chose for Himself, to be His one nation in all the earth.

On the occasion when King David entered into the Davidic Covenant on behalf of himself and his offspring forever, he was moved to awe by what YHWH had done in making Israel His one nation in all the earth. David said: 

"What more can David say to you? For you know your servant, Lord YHWH! For your Word’s sake, and according to your own heart, you have worked all this greatness, to make your servant know it. Therefore you are great, YHWH Elohim! For there is none like you, neither is there any Elohim besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears. What one nation in the earth is like your people, even like Israel, whom Elohim went to redeem to himself for a people, and to make himself a name, and to do great things for you, and awesome things for your land, before your people, whom you redeemed to yourself out of Egypt, from the nations and their gods? You established for yourself your people Israel to be a people to you forever; and you, YHWH, became their Elohim!"  2 Samuel 7:20-24

This is why we celebrate Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles each year. It is about remembering the greatness of what YHWH has done, in 'establishing Israel to be a people before Him forever'. According to all of the prophets from Moses forward, the greatest days of the Twelve Tribes of Israel are just ahead of us now!
