From Eliyahu As you know, our Passover season has been extremely unusual this year, in more ways than one. Truth be told, the Coronavirus has made life very strange all around the globe. Because of the pandemic many were not ready for Passover at the normal time. Fortunately, our Father foresaw that Passover could not always be observed at the normal appointed time, so arranged for an alternate date in the second Hebrew month. That date is now before us. [Explanation here: https://tsiyon.info/newsletter/archive/2020/20_04_02_vol_15_16_tsiyon_newsflash.htm] This alternate date has been the right date for our Tsiyon mission. For the last month we have been enjoying an entire Passover Month of Deliverance, streaming out a timely message over multiple platforms each week, and even each day, and joining in prayer with all who have joined in. This Passover Month our timely theme has been before us:
This has struck a cord of faith with many believers who have responded. On some platforms we have seen as much as a 4000% increase in engagement! Sign-ups, prayer requests, and feedback we have received encourage us that many have been helped to better understand and cope with the trying times we have all been experiencing, while turning to our Father in Heaven for comfort and answers. Truly, although trying times are still upon us, many are now far more ready to observe Passover. Some who have never observed Passover may wonder; what is so special about it? I could not even begin to answer that question in its fullness! For starters, Passover is probably the oldest continually kept national holiday still being celebrated in the world. We're talking about almost 4,000 years of continual observance! All of the great heroes of faith from Moses forward have kept the Passover, including the apostles and all early followers of Messiah! When you celebrate Passover, time and space fade into insignificance as you become one with all other Passover-keepers of faith through the ages and around the world. People sometimes refer to Passover as a Jewish holiday, but it is much bigger than that. The "Jews" (a name given to the Israelite tribe of Judah) represent only one tribe out of twelve, yet all of the tribes were commanded to keep the Passover. A remnant of all those various tribes, though long scattered throughout the world, still keep Passover each year. Not only does it commemorate deliverance from slavery in Egypt, it also commemorates deliverance from the world, sin, and death, through the power of Messiah, who saves us. For the remnant today, Passover also foreshadows our soon escape by the mighty hand of YHWH from the nations of this world, to the place of safety He is preparing for us right now. Considering all that Passover is, it is my distinct privilege to invite you, and all Tsiyon members, veterans and newcomers alike, to join us online for Passover, on the evening of May 7, 2020 at 8 PM CST. Note that we will not be streaming Passover on other platforms. This will only be streamed on Tsiyon.Net exclusively. We have posted an announcement video for this event on YouTube. You can get the embed code from the YouTube video, to embed the video on your own site, as I have done on this page. Just click on the picture to see the video on YouTube. You may be wondering: How do I celebrate Passover at home? Its easy. Passover was first commanded to be observed at home. While there are a variety of traditions various groups and families may enjoy, none of these are required. In this period of Covid-19, you may not be able to source the customary lamb dinner fixings. If not, do the best you can. Its really about honoring our Father who has set us free from bondage. It is a time as a family to remember that, to share the Passover story, to remember what Messiah did for us as our Passover Lamb, and to honor our Father. Do that as best you can in sincerity and truth on Passover and you will be accepted before Him in grace and peace. On May 7 at 8 PM CST we will be having our Passover meal here in Texas, and will be streaming a timely message for you during that time. You might enjoy listening to that message while eating your Passover meal. At 9:30 CST that same evening, we have arranged to celebrate the Lord's Supper with you. We will have a brief fresh message explaining what's going on, along with the celebration of the Lord's Supper. Have the emblems of unleavened bread and wine ready at your home, and you can join in the new covenant commemoration with us that evening. If you are in a part of the world where the time doesn't work for you, maybe you can play the video recording of the live event that we will be posting immediately thereafter, then at the right time for you, you can join with us that way. Passover is a time of unity of His people, so how ever you need to do it, we would love to have you be a part! Again, our Passover celebration (see details above) will be live-streamed on May 7, 2020, at Tsiyon.Net at 8 PM CST. Our Passover will be available to all Tsiyon Members online, including free members. All anyone needs to do to attend is to register as a free member at http://tsiyon.net/register/ - so feel free to invite believing friends and relatives. Good health and blessings to you. In His Name,
Eliyahu
