This section takes us from the ascension of Messiah, and then through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and beyond. As we move forward the account documents the firm establishment of the Assembly in Jerusalem, as thousands there responded to the Good News. All were in unity and one accord as the Jerusalem Assembly continued to grow through the first 5 chapters. In chapter 6 murmurings arose against the Emissaries, and we saw how the Emissaries headed off the early rise of factions through following Biblical Holy Order. In chapters 6 and 7 we have the false charges against Stephen by unbelieving Jews, his amazing witness before the High Court, and the murderous stoning of that righteous man. Thereafter, persecution broke out, when "Saul ravaged the assembly, entering into every house, and dragged both men and women off to prison." This caused the disciples to flee beyond Jerusalem, to other areas, bringing the Good News with them. Chapter 8 presents the supernatural ministries of Phillip and the Emissaries, establishing the Good News in Holy Order beyond Jerusalem into Judea and Samaria. This entire section of Acts presents the Assembly as Covenant-keeping Israelites, who worshipped in the Temple and who continued on as citizens of their Israelite nation, sharing the Good News with their Israelite brethren. Coming up next, in chapter 9, we will find a huge turning point in the story, with the next section introducing the conversion of Saul, and the start of bringing the Good News to "all nations." As the story progresses, Saul becomes Paul, known as "the apostle to the Gentiles." Not surprisingly, Christians throughout the world identify most closely with Paul, crediting him with changing "the sect of the Nazarenes" into a new global religion generally called the Christian Church. Because there are so many misconceptions regarding Paul and his role among the early believers, it is important that we sort out some of the actual history of the 1st century Assembly, and the rise of the Church thereafter, in the 2nd century AD, before we get into this next section of the book of Acts. Here I would like to introduce the "Restoring The Assembly" video series. This includes teachings I presented back in 2015, and will also include new material as well. Our technical ability has increased a lot since 2015, and the videos from that time have now been re-mastered to bring the quality up to date. This "Restoring The Assembly" series will bring these re-mastered teachings to you. They will lay out for you, from the Word and historical documents, what actually happened from the first century and beyond, including important information about the 1st Century Jewish Schism, then the 2nd century Gentile Schism, and the establishment of a rebel movement from the original established by Messiah, that developed into what we know as "The Church" today. Understanding how the schisms broke off from the true core of Israel, leading many away in a false path, is vital information for those today who desire to see the Assembly restored. Could the Christian Church really be a break-away faction of the early Assembly? Paul warned us that "dissensions" and "factions" are works of the flesh, not of the Spirit. Nevertheless, He, and all of the Emissaries, warned us that factions were bound to happen, saying:
That schisms must form, is therefore a Biblical theme, so it should not surprise us that such schisms have in fact arisen, and have led to the massive apostasy from the faith that is so evident all around us today. That factions led to massive heretical movements, and continue to form today, does not mean Messiah is not in control. In the end, those who are approved will become evident. This, in fact, is one of the important ways in which the actual overcoming remnant will be sorted out from those with a deviant factious agenda here in these last days. As we get closer to the Remnant Exodus, we must expect such betrayals. (Luke 21:16-17) Understanding all of this history contained in the "Restoring The Assembly" video series, which presents the backdrop of Acts, and the history following from it, will help us as we then continue our journey through the Book of Acts from here. This will put us in good stead in our end-time goal of restoring the Assembly of Yeshua Messiah. Tonight we will premier our first video in this series, our new, re-mastered edition, of "No Rapture, No Escape?" This video tests the claims of dispensational theology against the actual facts of history. I think you will find it to be a perfect bridge from today's dominant belief in a pre-tribulation rapture, to the facts on the ground 2,000 years ago - which history does not agree with the claimed theology. Join us for our live meeting to be aired tonight, at tsiyon.net, at 8 pm cst. I know you will find "No Rapture, No Escape?" to be a big help in your discussions with others. Tell your loved ones and friends to register free of charge and join us for this special meeting. By signing up they will also receive this newsletter, and vital videos and seminars - free. Please take in each vital presentation in this "Restoring The Assembly" video series to get the entire picture. Blessings and good health to you! Eliyahu P.S. - Don't miss tonight's premier of this re-mastered presentation of "No Rapture, No Escape?"
