Consider this:

A new Atlantic article entitled The Bunker Magnates Hate to Say They Told You So begins with a quote from a man explaining why he and his wife and school-age daughters were about to move into a remote bunker in South Dakota that had previously provided storage for sarin gas. It's all about finding some peace and safety. Here's the quote:

"I'm not one of the paranoid kinds of people,” Michael, the 51-year-old owner of a construction company, told me this spring. "But who doesn’t look at the state of the world these days and get a little paranoid? It’s not just the virus and the economic collapse. It’s the protests, the fires, the cyberspying, the border shutdowns, the freezer trucks full of bodies, the disinformation on television—the sense that we are living with the economy of 1928, the civil society of 1968, the politics of 1868. “I don’t see a good outcome, whether he wins it or someone else wins it,” he said, talking about President Donald Trump. “It scares me. I’ve got two daughters. I think about all the sex rings they’ve been cracking down on,” he added. “Our country has almost got the qualities of a third-world country.”

According to the article, this family is not an exception. Selling bunkers has become big business. "Vivos, from which Michael bought his bunker, reports that inquiries have gone up 2,000 percent. “It’s exponential. It’s a surge. People are getting off the fence. And they’re saying, I need it, and I need it now,” Robert Vicino, the company’s founder said.

The world is getting pretty crazy in 2020, and people are getting pretty scared, and angry. Gun sales are through the roof. People are getting ready to shoot their neighbors when the tipping point tips. Whatever happened to "love your neighbor as yourself?" As the Scriptures predict for the last days; "Because lawlessness shall have been multiplied, the love of the many will grow cold." Matthew 24:12

Nobody can deny that lawlessness has been multiplied, and hate, not love, is on the rise. Why? Why all the division? Why all the hate? Why don't people love their neighbors more?

Personally, I think this is a direct result of the turn away from our Creator that has been underway for decades. The first and greatest commandment is to 'love the Lord with your whole heart, mind, soul, and strength.' The world hasn't been doing that. For the most part, even the believers haven't been doing that. The farther we get from loving Him with our full devotion the farther we get from loving our neighbor - and the farther we get from anything like civil society. That lack of love for our Creator is the root cause of all of our problems. The people who are buying the bunkers probably don't know that. They just know everything seems to be melting down and heading for disaster on a huge scale. Civilization is in free fall, and in our hearts, we all know it. Now, even the unbelievers are believers in the Apocalypse.

If the Apocalypse is what you are trying to flee by living in a bunker, I would suggest you are putting your trust in the wrong thing. After all, if you read the book, that is, the Book of Revelation (Apocalypse), then you know who wins. It is not the people living in the bunkers. It is the Overcomers who love the Lord above all else, "and they did not love their soul even unto death." Love is the answer, but there is no love of neighbor without the foundation of loving our Creator above all else, first. When you put Him first He makes you know that He loves you! He is there for you. He is worthy of your trust, far more than any bunker or a boatload of guns and ammo. He is faithful, and He will not forget you on that day when it really counts! (Rev 6:12-17, 12:11)

Why wait? Now is the time for every prepper to prep what matters most - your love for your Creator! When all of His people stop being so concerned about all of their own interests, and instead put Him first above all else, something amazing will happen. Something new will be born into the earth manifesting His love in a fullness never before seen in any nation or group of people ever before! The remnant nation of Israel will be born anew and will manifest in the earth in real flesh and blood! Finally, there will be a real alternative, far better than any bunker, to flee to, as the world sinks into oblivion. The real place of safety is reserved for those who love Him with their entire being!
