Don't miss our live online Tsiyon Meeting at Tsiyon.Net tonight, featuring:

Be mighty in His strength.

From Eliyahu

Consider this:

Are you standing against the works of the devil? If you are reading this newsletter you are probably a believer who is constantly working against the evil forces in the heavenly places - even if you are not aware you are doing that! Are you drawn toward the truth of his Word? The devil hates that!  Do you share that truth with others? That's definitely a threat to the dark domain, and he doesn't like that either. Are you walking in the way that Yeshua has marked out for your life? If that's you then you are a soldier in the spiritual war that has been going on for millennia, and you are definitely a target of the devil!

It is surprising that quite a few believers don't take the devil as seriously as they ought to. This is a mistake, according to Scripture. For example, we have this admonition: "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." (1 Peter 5:8)

Note that the devil is "your adversary" and he is seeking to devour you!

He wants you for lunch!
Don't be lunch!

Like a lion, hiding stealthily in the bushes for an unwary victim, the devil too is very stealthy. In fact, the devil is a schemer and deceiver without equal in all of the dark domain. Yet, we need not be left without defense, for our Father loves us, and instructs us in His Word how to defend against our adversary. He says:

"Finally, be strong in Adonai, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of Elohim, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."
Eph 6:10-11

Yes, as good soldiers of Yeshua Messiah we must fight the fight, but we are not without the strength to win, so long as we fight in the strength of our Lord. Not only that, but He has also given us armor to protect ourselves - and weapons of light to take the fight to the enemy! Besides all of that, we can learn how to battle effectively by studying the battles and tactics of the heroes of faith who have gone before us, both ancient and modern. That way, we can know the "wiles of the devil" and prepare ourselves against them.

Learn from the best!
The devil can be beaten!

Samson could stop the mouths of lions with ease, but the devil? Sometimes, not so much. Paul, so far as I know, had no need to fight lions. However, he was engaged in the battle against the devil on a daily basis. While the devil managed to get a nip out of Paul from time to time, Paul seemed to always win the battle in the end, often in a spectacular way. In fact, I think it is safe to say that Paul was as fine an example of a satan-fighting faith-hero as can be found anywhere!

If you want to polish up your satan-fighting skills you need to be with us tonight at tsiyon.net, at 8 pm cst. In Acts 19, which we are considering tonight, we see Paul walking in jaw-dropping victory!  Let's see how we can do that too!

Blessings and good health to you!
