Passover occurs
tonight after sundown, March 27, 2021
Welcome!
This evening Passover will
have arrived, and I want to invite you to join us for this 2021 Passover
memorial. Passover, as you know, is a time when we celebrate the deliverance
of Israel from slavery in Egypt. On that level, it is a celebration of
God-given freedom. For this reason alone, the celebration of God-given
freedom, Passover deserves to be celebrated. Freedom is so vital to the
ability to make valid choices, including the choice to follow Messiah.
Without freedom it becomes much more difficult to follow Him as fully as He
deserves. Over the last 2,000 years many believers, under the thumb of
despotic regimes, have faced and labored under such oppression. For example,
the Pilgrims who fled religious oppression to come to America in the 1620s.
Freedom to worship the God of the Bible was so precious to them they were
willing to brave the ocean in a shockingly small and precarious wooden
sailing vessel of only 100 feet long, the Mayflower, not knowing what
hazards they would face in the new world. They put their trust in "the Great
Jehovah" and established a place of freedom in America at great cost to
themselves.
Today, that freedom that the
Pilgrims planted in America is quickly running out toward believers.
Oppression is growing in America and around the world. Anyone who pays
attention can see that oppression coming in like a thick fog on a gloomy
day. This Passover is a good time to thank YHWH for the freedom we still
enjoy in Yeshua our Messiah, and to rethink how we can put that freedom to
work for His Kingdom, so long as we are able to do it. "Do this, knowing
the time, that it is already time for you to awaken out of sleep, for
salvation is now nearer to us than when we first believed. The night is far
gone, and the day is near. Let’s therefore throw off the works of darkness,
and let’s put on the armor of light."
Romans 13:11-12

In this world, freedom is not
free - it must be won.

The most important freedom of
all is freedom from the condemnation of sin, which condemnation is unto
eternal death. That was our pitiful state, before Yeshua came to fight that
battle for us. He loved us, and became our champion, by accepting the
amazing role of our Passover Lamb. Like an innocent lamb, he accepted all
the affliction and oppression the world and the devil could throw at Him,
and He did so unto death - our death - to pay the price for our sin - not
His sin, for He had no sin. He didn't have to do it. He did it because He
loved us, and because we could not free ourselves from the awful effects of
sin.
Tonight at Passover we will
remember what He did for us 2,000 years ago, to set us free from the awful
consequences of sin. We identify with Him in the New Covenant, by partaking
of the emblems of unleavened bread and wine, representing our sharing
together in the body and blood of Messiah. If you would like to share with
us in
this Passover and "Lord's Supper" remembrance of Him tonight,
here are the details you need to know.
We will begin tonight at 8:00
PM CST with a live stream of our meeting. After our opening, we will stream
a Passover message for you. This message is designed so that you can listen
to the message while you are enjoying your Passover meal, if that works for
your Passover. If you are doing something different, for example having your
own Passover message, you can still rejoin us at 9:30 PM CST for a live
memorial of the Lord's Supper. If you have your own emblems of the
unleavened bread and wine at home, you can partake of them along with us
during this time, with remnant people partaking of Messiah in unity around
the world.
