Consider this:

 

Do some people, upon meeting you, suffer from trembling, chest pains, heart palpitations, elevated blood pressure, shortness of breath, rapid speech or inability to speak, dry mouth, upset stomach, nausea, and/or hot or cold flashes?

 

If so, it may be because you are socially unacceptable, that is "different" - and the unfortunate party meeting you suffers from Catagelophobia. This particular phobia is the fear of being ridiculed or being put down by someone. To such a person, just meeting a person like you - that is "different" - can be a great cause of distress, because they fear they will be ridiculed simply for meeting you!

 

Granted, Catagelophobia is an extreme case. However, everyone has undergone a process of socialization, which refers to the lifelong process of inheriting, interpreting, and disseminating norms, customs, and ideologies. Social Control Theory sees these social norms of thinking and behavior as powerful forces that can be used to manipulate people to conform to the majority norms. This kind of social mind control is actively being perpetrated toward your life right now, although you may not even be aware of it happening. Yes, this is on purpose.

 

This is one reason why being "different" - though not a crime - is still not "acceptable." The highly sophisticated elite who have the will and the means to apply controls to society find it irresistible to try to turn everyone into conformists to their agenda - and nonconformists to everything else.

Here at Tsiyon, we are "different."

 

That's because there are only two ways to go. The broad way, the majority way, that leads to destruction, and the narrow way, the minority way, the different way, that leads to life. (Matthew 7:13+14)

 

The Church System is of little or no help with this, since they seek to be acceptable to the world, to the majority. They see that as the most effective way to retain and attract members, and to attract the world's wealth. While the big show seems to work for mega-churches, it has not worked generally, as Church membership is dramatically falling. Remember, walking in the truth is a narrow way! Very often that narrow way must be just you and the Lord. Now, that's different, isn't it?

 

Here is the essence of the narrow way: "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." Romans 12:2
 

Society wants you to be conformed to the world, but Scripture commands you plainly NOT to conform! In fact, to be transformed - that is, different from the world, but conformed to the mind of Messiah. Do that, and you will be on the narrow road that leads to eternal life.

 

Now you know why Tsiyon is deliberately different. This is also why we are taking time to share our story with you. We want you to know what we have been through for the sake of the Kingdom, why we have made the choices we have made, and how that has produced fruit meant to help and bless you. There are a lot of voices out there, and it can be hard to sort through them all to find an authentic voice to help you through these confusing days. Only by knowing our Tsiyon story, and why we are different, can you know for yourself that Tsiyon is an authentic voice of truth. New visitors at Tsiyon often ask us why they should invest their time in our content - this difference is why. If you are different too, you will understand when you hear our story.
