Consider this:

 

Free will is a divine attribute imparted to man at creation. The ability to choose for ourselves is the basis of that state of being we call "liberty" and "freedom." No sane person wants to give that up. Yet, on every side we find our free will constantly impinged upon. Commerce, government, media, religion, all want to control your choices to benefit some agenda. They don't want to admit they want to rob you of your freedom, but that is the effect of choices made under deception and/or coercion. That's why there is so much lying and deception in the world - to deceive and coerce you into accepting and choosing things you otherwise would never agree to. The liars, deceivers and thieves of this world want you to agree to benefit themselves, usually to your own detriment. 

 

This has been going on ever since the serpent deceived the woman in the garden to gain control over the world. It seems to have worked, for the serpent maybe - but not so much for the rest of us. It turns out that so-called "free will" in a world full of deception leads to loss of real liberty and happiness, and to enslavement of the mind to whomever controls the narrative. In this year of 2021 the level of deception in the world seems to have brought us to a state of chaos and confusion that very few could have imagined just a few short years ago.

 

So what is the solution? That's easy. Truth is the solution. It always has been. Truth is the only basis on which free will can really be a free choice. Yet, here is the problem; in today's world truth is rarer than gold. Much is taken for truth that, under pressure of reality, crumbles like dust under your feet. When you have made decisions based on such faulty assumptions loss and pain are sure to follow.

 

Like I said, truth is rarer and more precious than gold.

This choice should be easy, right? The coin, though beautiful, weighs only half of an ounce. The brick weighs far more, so most people would choose the brick. Yet, this genuine Liberty gold coin is worth more - over $1,000 US Dollars. The brick, on the other hand is fake, and is sold on Amazon as a doorstop for just $13.94. You might think this is just a trick, that in real life no one would mistake a fake for real gold. On that score you would be wrong.

 

Consider this quote from a news article on Google News: "One of China’s largest gold jewelry manufacturers, Kingold Jewelry Inc., was caught in a major fake gold scandal earlier this year. The company used 83 tons of gold bars to back loans worth 20 billion yuan ($3 billion) from 14 Chinese financial institutions. This amount of gold would be equivalent to about 22% of China’s annual gold production."

 

If 14 top financial institutions gave up $3 billion for 83 tons of fake gold, surely, you and I could be fooled! In fact, we are being fooled every day. Maybe not about gold, but about something, probably a lot of things.

 

The really smart people figure this out eventually, with some help from above. They come to realize that the deceptions of this world are so great that NOBODY can see through them all! That's when they make the greatest and best choice of their lives; The choice to surrender all other choices to the Divine Will. You see, the Creator knows the truth. He is the Truth. He knows what is best for each of us, and He loves us. If we love Him and trust Him, we will come to realize that His perfect will for us is never tainted by deception or selfishness. What He wants for you is far better than what you could ever even imagine for yourself. When you choose to abide by His choices for your life, instead of your own, you will finally experience real freedom.
