Consider this:

 

Everybody knows the world is getting crazy. What no one seems to know is what to do about it. Part of the problem is the complexity of the modern world. There is just so much going on all the time! Here in the USA the news media isn't helping very much. They seem to focus on a few things while leaving out major developments that could have a great effect on us all.

 

For example, the pullout from Afghanistan was a major story dominating the news fairly recently. The way in which this was handled by the administration was an outrage for many Americans, and a huge debasement for America in the eyes of the world. Reports could be found which generally stated that America lost its status in the eyes of the world, and especially in the eyes of Middle Eastern countries. Some news reports even stated that Middle Eastern countries that once looked to a strong America for geopolitical stability now feel they must depend upon themselves to deal with regional issues and conflicts. Yet, those reports gave little detail about the potential outcome of that change, so far as specific countries might be concerned.

 

By contrast, we get a far better picture of coming world events from Bible prophecy than we will ever get from news prognosticators. Egypt is a case in point. Egypt in the last days is an important element in the prophetic picture. Major events are foretold to happen relative to Egypt before the Great Tribulation - events that are now developing. The retirement of the USA from the region creates an instability that is likely exacerbating the potential for events revolving around Egypt to explode upon the world stage before long. Sadly, popular prophecy teachers here seem to have missed this. Here at Tsiyon we have been teaching on Egypt in prophecy for years, and with new developments happening fast, it is time to bring you more on Egypt!

Egypt is a monument of the ages, as is the Nile River. Imagine how long the Nile has been flowing, year after year like clockwork, since long before the time of Moses nearly 4,000 years ago. With that kind of a history, this prophecy is stunning:

 

“I will give over the Egyptians into the hand of a cruel lord. A fierce king will rule over them,” says the Lord, YHWH of Hosts. “The waters will fail from the south, and the River will be wasted and become dry.”  Isaiah 19:4-5

It was held from ancient times that the Nile was timeless, like the Sun and Moon. The prophetic message through the prophet Isaiah that the Nile will dry up has always been held unthinkable. Surely, if such was ever to happen it would have to be a sign that the end of the world is upon us!  Now, in the 2020s, war has been threatened by Egypt over this very real possibility!
