Consider this:

Of all the nations that have ever existed on the face of the earth, only one has proven to be indestructible. That nation is known to us as "Israel." Israel was formed into an independent nation a staggering four millennia ago. Even its beginning was the most unlikely of any nation, since just three months earlier its people were slaves in Egypt, and had been for centuries. Realize, that Egypt was the wealthiest, and most powerful nation the world had ever seen up to that time. How was it even possible that a mass of lowly slaves could ever escape the iron grip of the greatest world power of that day, let alone in three months time? It could never have happened except as a literal act of God. YHWH Himself explained this to Moses from Mount Sinai:

Moses went up to Elohim, and YHWH called to him out of the mountain, saying, “This is what you shall tell the house of Jacob, and tell the sons of Israel: ‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to myself. Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice, and keep my covenant, then you shall be my own possession from among all peoples; for all the earth is mine; and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the sons of Israel.” Exodus 19:3-6

Herein is the secret of Israel's amazing longevity. It is a nation literally formed by the Divine Will. Had YHWH Himself not done the amazing miracle of setting Israel free and bringing us to Himself to be formed into His nation we simply would never have been anything. The story of Israel is not the story of how great we are - on the contrary, our story is the story of how great is our God, YHWH, who willed us into being and chose our miserable slave fathers to form His one nation in all the earth! Blessed be His Name forever and ever, Amen!

 

YHWH, and YHWH alone effected our rescue from the might of Egypt, totally humiliating all of the gods of Egypt as well as the entire military might of Egypt in the process. With such power surely He could have simply told us what to do and forced us to do it. Yet, He didn't do that. Instead, He respected our free will and gave us the choice to become His nation or not. He offered us a covenant that included terms that He and we would agree to abide by, if we chose to accept His offer to become His nation. "IF you will obey my voice and keep my covenant.." He said.  We said; “All that YHWH has spoken we will do.” Thus, our nation was officially constituted with our agreement to His terms.

 

The terms of the covenant include rewards for keeping it (called blessings) and penalties for not keeping it (called curses). YHWH wanted to give us the blessings, and certainly did and does, but far too often we went back on our word as a nation, so received the national curses instead. Over time, we reneged so badly against the covenant that the worst of those horrible curses came upon our nation. If those curses had fallen upon any other nation, that nation would certainly have been destroyed. Yet, we are the nation of YHWH forever, whether we are walking with Him or not - so we cannot be destroyed as a nation - not ever. Our nation is like the popular song that goes like this:  

"I get knocked down, but I get up again
You are never gonna keep me down
I get knocked down, but I get up again
You are never gonna keep me down.."

Thus, even in the frequent rebellion of our nation, YHWH is glorified.

Want some examples of what I'm talking about?

 

What nation has been completely decimated from off of their land, been assimilated into other peoples, and yet came back from that even centuries later?

 

Exactly none. None except for Israel. Not once. Not twice. Three times!

 

How is such an astonishing thing possible? It is possible because the Covenant with Israel is real, even as the God of Israel is real. Israel is YHWH's nation just as much in its disobedience and rebellion (bringing on the curses) as in a remnant of Israel returning in repentance to the Covenant. Whichever way we, His nation, choose - the blessings or the curses - the hand of YHWH will be seen in the outcome. So every time our nation will survive, no matter what we do.

 

So here is my idea (not really mine, but His): Let His scattered remnant choose life for our nation. Let us acknowledge that the Covenant is real, and has always determined the outcome of our national choices. When will we learn that we can rise up as His nation in repentance and obedience to receive the blessings as His nation? We can do that at any time. We could have done it hundreds of years ago. We could have done it yesterday. We can do it today - right now.

 

Its all in the terms of the Covenant. Do we get that? Do we understand it is not something we wait for, until YHWH does it. WE HAVE A COVENANT THAT REQUIRES US TO OBEY! When we decide to obey as a nation YHWH will keep His side of the Covenant and bring our nation home!  

 

We have arrived at the time YHWH would like to bless us by raising us up to bring us home. Once again, it is our choice if we will take responsibility for our part. Will we care enough to do our part to make that happen?

 

You men of Israel, have you been so feminized by the modern world that you can no longer stand up as men to lead His nation? Are you happy with women and children controlling everything you do while you are content to be a slave? If that's you, I have one question for you: how do you live with yourself?

 

Are you worried that you might fail? Get over it. Be a man and step up! Better to fight the fight and take your licks than to be missing in action! Brothers, this is our generation. This is our time! Trust in YHWH and make a difference in the battle lines of Israel! If we unite and move forward together as His nation, following our Messiah, there is no power in heaven or on earth that can withstand the awesome brotherhood of the mighty men of Israel, united together in sacred Covenant with Israel's Founder, YHWH the Almighty!       

Yes, I'm fired up! I've been spending time in Deuteronomy 28, studying the blessings and curses that are part of our Covenant with YHWH. The bottom line is that every dot and tittle has been fulfilled by actual history. The blessings have been proven real, because actual history testifies that YHWH has poured out those blessings on His nation whenever we have acted in good faith to keep His Covenant. I want those blessings for our nation, don't you?

 

Unfortunately, our nation has violated His Covenant far more than we have kept it, and all of the curses listed in Deuteronomy 28 fell upon our nation, and are long since a part of the verified historical record. Trust me, this part is not pleasant reading. Read it though, because it is truth you need to think through.
