Consider this:

Recently we enjoyed a visit here at Tsiyon HQ from our friend, Thomas Winder, Archeologist. He put on an excellent presentation for us, and we recorded it to share with you tonight. Thomas excavated an ancient temple in the Biblical city of Sodom for 7 years. Surely, we have all heard of Sodom, destroyed by the Creator by a sudden and massive conflagration. Thomas brought artifacts with him that give evidence supporting the Bible narrative, which you will want to see.

Perhaps the most interesting of the artifacts is a toe bone discovered at the Sodom temple site that is truly giant sized, as one might expect to find in an area where giants were known to live. The Bible calls these giants Emim and says they were "a large people, who were many and tall like the Anakim. And they were known as giants, like the sons of Anak, but the Moabites called them Emim." Deuteronomy 2:10-11

Some four centuries after Sodom was destroyed there were still giants ranging throughout that same area east of the Jordan, when Israel came into that land and made war on the giants, and destroyed them by the power of the Eternal One. While all of this is true, modern man has trouble with the idea of giants. In fact, some see this as evidence that the Bible is mythological rather than factual.

Actually, there has been evidence of giants found in locations around the world. These days, the evidence of giants is suppressed, because it does not fit in very well with the accepted narrative. However, that has not always been so. For example, newspaper reports and other documentation survives which offers detailed evidence of giants in North America, as illustrated below.

A Native American tribe, the Paiutes of Nevada, passed on an oral tradition to early white settlers in which they described a race of red-haired, white giants called the Si-Te-Cah. Sarah Winnemucca Hopkins, daughter of a Paiute Indian chief, wrote down the story and published it in 1882, in her book Life Among the Piutes: Their Wrongs and Claims.

According to her elders, these “giants” were vicious and cannibalistic, and apparently fed off of the native people. War ensued that came to its end at Lovelock Cave. There the native people managed to trap the giants inside the cave and then destroyed them using fire, smoke, and a hale of arrows as any tried to escape.

In the early part of the 20th century, archaeologists took an interest in the cave. The first archeological dig was performed in 1912, led by L. L. Loud of the University of California. That was followed up by a second dig in 1924. Finally, a report was published in 1929. Some artifacts had been dated as far back as 2030 BC. That is roughly the time of Abraham! In all, some 10,000 archaeological artifacts were listed including tools, bones, baskets, and weapons.  Among these, a sandal over 15 inches (38 cm) long was reported, apparently confirming that the Paiute legend was authentic.

During the initial excavations, there were news reports of mummified remains being found of two red-haired giants. One was a female 6.5 feet (1.98 m) tall and the other a male over 8 feet (2.44 m) tall. Since then, these have gone missing. The Nevada Review-Miner in 1931, reported that two very large skeletons were found in the Humboldt dry lake bed near Lovelock, Nevada. One of the Lovelock skeletons was there reported to have measured 8.5 feet (2,59 m) tall, while the second was recorded as nearly 10 feet (3.05 m) in length. This second skeleton is about the same size as the giant, Goliath, who was slain by David in the Bible. Like the other large skeletons, these also have gone missing. It seems that artifacts that don't fit the accepted history have a habit of getting lost. However, credible news reports preserve the accurate record.

Yes, there is every reason to believe the reports of giants in the Bible. As you will learn tonight, the remains of Sodom agree with the Biblical truth. Why would all of these facts confirmed by archeological excavations be correct, while this one Bible fact about giants in the area of Sodom not be true? It is true, as an actual toe bone of one of these vile creatures well demonstrates.
