Hello friends!
According to the world's
calendar, we are now just three days into the new year of 2024. According to
the Bible year that began in the spring of 2023, today at sundown we will
enter into the twenty-first day of the tenth month, with a new year still
months away.
Some folks might read that and
think "why should I care?" I can tell you why I care. The Bible calendar is
how our Creator counts time - this is Holy Time and it works on entirely
different principles than the profane time that most people are ruled by.
Further, He sets appointments according to His Holy Time for us to meet Him
at His specific times. If you try to keep those appointments using some
other calendar, different from the one He set His respective appointments
by, then you will miss His appointments. Personally, I want to show up for
those, which is why I care about the Bible calendar.
Here is another reason - Bible
prophecy. The Bible foretells specific events and when they will happen.
Based of course, on Holy Time. Obviously, those foretold events are of the
greatest importance. You have probably read about people who have made date
predictions about Bible prophecies. One famous example might be William
Miller, who predicted in the 1830s that the 2nd Coming would occur in 1843.
This failed prediction came to
be known as "the great disappointment." An apt title given the fact that, as
with so many other cases like this, the foretold events did not occur when
predicted. Why not? Among other reasons, the Bible prophecies involved were
not interpreted according to the Bible's Holy Time. In fact, among those who
offer interpretations of Bible time prophecies, very few ever even stop to
think that these need to be understood according to the Creator's reckoning
of time, and not the changing calendars of mankind.
I was led into Holy Time a
long time ago, well over 2 decades ago. My family and I have been keeping
the appointments of YHWH according to Holy Time ever since. This includes
the Sabbath. Have you ever noticed that Tsiyon usually holds Sabbath
meetings on days other than Saturday or Sunday? For example, during this
particular 10th Hebrew month the Sabbath coincides with Wednesday/Thursday.
Next month it will change, as it does every month. Why is that?
It is because the weekdays are
irrelevant to Holy Time, since they didn't even exist in Bible times. In
fact, Holy Time operates on an entirely different set of principles than the
weekdays do! If you want proof of what I'm saying here, and you want to
understand how Holy Time works then you should come to our meeting tonight
and this will be unpacked for you. All I can say is, entering into Holy Time
opened up a massively expanded understanding of Scripture for me, and I know
it will for you too, if given a chance.
One important way Holy Time
expanded my understanding of Scripture is in the area of Bible prophecy. I
have shared a lot on the subject, and by now people are noticing that what I
have seen in advance checks out over the passage of time. That has worked
out because I am informed by Holy Time. Most recently, at the start of this
Hebrew year, last spring, I predicted that the signs of the times were about
to get much more intense, for the world, for Israel, and for Tsiyon. Below
you can see the graphic that I created and published at the time, showing we
had entered upon "The Red Zone" of growing intensity as we move closer to
the Great Tribulation. Clearly, that intensity for Israel, for the world,
and for Tsiyon is occurring as predicted, and promises to intensify
more and more as we move through 2024 and beyond.
