Remember the Sabbath
From Eliyahu

Hello friends!

According to the world's calendar, we are now just three days into the new year of 2024. According to the Bible year that began in the spring of 2023, today at sundown we will enter into the twenty-first day of the tenth month, with a new year still months away.

Some folks might read that and think "why should I care?" I can tell you why I care. The Bible calendar is how our Creator counts time - this is Holy Time and it works on entirely different principles than the profane time that most people are ruled by. Further, He sets appointments according to His Holy Time for us to meet Him at His specific times. If you try to keep those appointments using some other calendar, different from the one He set His respective appointments by, then you will miss His appointments. Personally, I want to show up for those, which is why I care about the Bible calendar.

Here is another reason - Bible prophecy. The Bible foretells specific events and when they will happen. Based of course, on Holy Time. Obviously, those foretold events are of the greatest importance. You have probably read about people who have made date predictions about Bible prophecies. One famous example might be William Miller, who predicted in the 1830s that the 2nd Coming would occur in 1843.

This failed prediction came to be known as "the great disappointment." An apt title given the fact that, as with so many other cases like this, the foretold events did not occur when predicted. Why not? Among other reasons, the Bible prophecies involved were not interpreted according to the Bible's Holy Time. In fact, among those who offer interpretations of Bible time prophecies, very few ever even stop to think that these need to be understood according to the Creator's reckoning of time, and not the changing calendars of mankind.

I was led into Holy Time a long time ago, well over 2 decades ago. My family and I have been keeping the appointments of YHWH according to Holy Time ever since. This includes the Sabbath. Have you ever noticed that Tsiyon usually holds Sabbath meetings on days other than Saturday or Sunday? For example, during this particular 10th Hebrew month the Sabbath coincides with Wednesday/Thursday. Next month it will change, as it does every month. Why is that?

It is because the weekdays are irrelevant to Holy Time, since they didn't even exist in Bible times. In fact, Holy Time operates on an entirely different set of principles than the weekdays do! If you want proof of what I'm saying here, and you want to understand how Holy Time works then you should come to our meeting tonight and this will be unpacked for you. All I can say is, entering into Holy Time opened up a massively expanded understanding of Scripture for me, and I know it will for you too, if given a chance.

One important way Holy Time expanded my understanding of Scripture is in the area of Bible prophecy. I have shared a lot on the subject, and by now people are noticing that what I have seen in advance checks out over the passage of time. That has worked out because I am informed by Holy Time. Most recently, at the start of this Hebrew year, last spring, I predicted that the signs of the times were about to get much more intense, for the world, for Israel, and for Tsiyon. Below you can see the graphic that I created and published at the time, showing we had entered upon "The Red Zone" of growing intensity as we move closer to the Great Tribulation. Clearly, that intensity for Israel, for the world, and for Tsiyon is occurring as predicted,  and promises to intensify more and more as we move through 2024 and beyond.

Growing Intensity - The Red ZoneHoly Time Prophecy

In keeping with all of that, things got pretty intense, just as predicted for 2023, for Israel, for the world, and for Tsiyon, and for me personally. For example, this is the first newsletter I've sent out in months, which is pretty weird, since I have sent out a newsletter for every Sabbath non-stop for about two decades - that is until last summer when I sent the last one before this. Not only that, but I also have not personally presented a new online Scriptural message for that entire time as well.

Imagine what my life has been like for the last two decades here at Tsiyon before this. Preparing and sharing a new message for every Sabbath has been my joy and my routine for an unbroken run of hundreds of Sabbaths in a row. That includes those Sabbaths following tragedies, even when a fire totally consumed our Tsiyon headquarters, and even several heart attacks at different times, did not stop my message from being delivered on the Sabbath of the same respective Sabbath period, complete with the newsletter I always sent out before each one. Our ministry partners and friends understandably came to expect that I would always be there on each and every Sabbath, no matter what, to deliver the latest Tsiyon message.

Then we got to the Hebrew year that began in the spring of 2023, and everything intensified, including for us here at Tsiyon. We expected this escalation to happen and said so. However, it got even more intense for us here at Tsiyon than ever before. The devil came after us with fierce attacks on the health of several of our Tsiyon folks, including myself. I want to tell you my story about all this, and I will, as soon as I make it through the recovery and rehab process I'm now focusing on.

Suffice it to say for now, that I have survived an ordeal which required months in the hospital, and threatened to kill me. Fortunately, I cannot be killed so long as my death is not in the Father's will. He has given me things to do that are not completed yet, so here I am writing to you. Not only that, but I have been home since November. At that time I was getting around by wheel chair and was quite weak. In the course of the few weeks since then I have been rebounding rapidly. Due to the good meals and care from my loved ones here at Tsiyon (and of course the grace of God) I'm getting stronger with each passing day, and I'm walking, and exercising as well.

Of course, I have continued to direct the work here as best I can, but even when I have not been available our Tsiyon team has done a great job under pressure of circumstance to keep the mission moving forward. The Spirit of the living God is in them and working through them in a mighty way!

I guess what I'm saying is that, despite the trials, all is well, and the mission is going forward and is succeeding from one Sabbath to the next. As for me, I still need to concentrate on my recovery and rehab, but I don't think it will be long before you are seeing me live once again. I'm hoping that will happen before the end of this Hebrew year, and I am working toward that end.

Finally, this passage comes to mind:

"We have this treasure in clay vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God, and not from ourselves. We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair; pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed; always carrying in the body the putting to death of the Lord Yeshua, that the life of Yeshua may also be revealed in our body. For we who live are always delivered to death for Yeshua's sake, that the life also of Yeshua may be revealed in our mortal flesh ... knowing that he who raised the Lord Yeshua will raise us also with Yeshua, and will present us with you. ..Therefore we don't faint, but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory; while we don't look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal." (2 Corinthians 4:7-18)
