As we entered the 2020s we were living firmly in a globalist world. As we
entered 2025, it seems like all that has now changed and we are leaving all
of that behind. Of course, that can all flip back again - and will, with a
vengeance. The only constant in this decade seems to be constant change.
Anyone can be forgiven if they feel confused and exhausted from all of the
change the world has experienced through this crazy decade.
The rate of global change in this decade is truly unprecedented in several
aspects. Here are some of them:
Global Disasters Database: Organizations like the Centre for
Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters (CRED) and the United Nations
Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) compile data on natural
disasters. Reports from these organizations have indicated an increase
in the number of reported disasters over recent years. There has been a
noticeable rise in the frequency and intensity of extreme weather
events, such as hurricanes, floods, droughts, heatwaves, fires, and
arctic cold events.
Technological Advancement: The rapid pace of technological
changes, including advancements in artificial intelligence,
biotechnology, renewable energy, and digital communication, is
transforming industries and societies at an unprecedented speed. This
decade has seen significant leaps in AI capabilities, influencing
various sectors and raising ethical and societal considerations, while
also driving the rate of change generally off the charts.
Social Dynamics: Social movements related to issues like social
justice, racial equality issues, and gender confusion have gained global
momentum. The interconnectedness provided by digital platforms has
facilitated rapid dissemination of propaganda and mobilization of
activism worldwide.
Global Health: The COVID-19 pandemic taught us all how quickly
global health situations can change and impact economies, travel, and
daily life, sometimes resulting in loss of basic freedoms and
long-lasting effects on just about everything.
Biodiversity Loss: This one is easy to miss. The acceleration of
biodiversity loss due to habitat destruction, pollution, and
overexploitation has reached critical levels, with numerous species
facing extinction at rates far beyond historical norms.
While other historical periods have seen significant changes, the
combination of these modern factors, along with the interconnectedness of
global systems, makes the current decade unprecedented in terms of the
speed, scale, and rate of change.
While all of these modern factors are very real, are there other forces
behind the global changes as well?

There is a deeper level that fosters change. That is the spiritual level.
Spiritual powers exist, residing in our atmosphere, that hate our Creator and
who oppose Him at every turn. The devil is the "prince of the power of the air"
and though invisible, he and his vast spiritual forces of wickedness fight
against righteousness at every turn, working in and through "the children of
disobedience." This amounts to an age-old rebellion, a war against our Messiah,
raging in the heavenly places. It is this spiritual war that we see manifested
on the physical plane, through the movements of the nations and power-players of
the earth.
In our modern world so much is happening all at the same time that people often
don't know where to look, or what the real significance of events may be. In
fact, most of us may not even be aware of some of the most important things that
are happening, because the public focus is often directed toward the wrong
things. Here is where Bible prophecy comes in. Bible prophecy is real history,
written in advance, as seen by the One who knows the end from the beginning. His
Word calls our time by terms like the "Latter Days" and "The Time of the End."
The most significant events that occur during these days are events foretold in
Scripture for our day. [Daniel 11:35, 40, 12:9]
A great example of this is the country of Turkey. Unless you are from there, you
probably do not see that country as a place of special interest. However, I do
see Turkey as a place of special interest and have been following events having
to do with Turkey for at least two decades. In my last special message I
explained why. Turkey will be the place of origin from which the prophetic
figure known in Scripture as "Gog" will arise, as YHWH prophetically states to
him:
"After many days you shall be visited: in the latter years you shall
come into the land that is brought back from the sword, that is gathered
out of many peoples, on the mountains of Israel, which have been a
continual waste; but it is brought forth out of the peoples, and they
shall dwell securely, all of them. You shall ascend, you shall come like
a storm, you shall be like a cloud to cover the land, you, and all your
hordes, and many peoples with you." (Ezekiel 38:8-9)
Why do I think Gog will arise from Turkey? I have largely answered that question
in earlier messages, but there is still more. The prophetic account lays out a
diverse set of requirements that Gog must fill, that none other can fill. To
make a long story short, I'm seeing that happening like never before. Before
long the requirements now emerging on the horizon will click into place and Gog
will burst onto the world stage to fulfill all that the Scripture has foretold
about him. When I started talking about this two decades ago it was all faith -
now, more and more - it has become reality. My message tonight will help to
bring you up to date on many of these changes that have occurred, as we fit
these into the prophetic picture.
