Scientifically speaking, we worry a lot about what’s out there in the dark.

 

But one of Earth’s biggest dangers might actually be coming from the brightest place we see every day - straight out of the Sun’s glare.

 

Astronomers call it the solar blind zone: the region of space directly “behind” the Sun from our point of view. We simply can’t look into it with most ground-based telescopes, because the Sun overwhelms everything. In fact, it can burn out the lenses of multi-million dollar telescopes if aimed at it. Even very advanced solar spacecraft aren’t built to scan every faint, fast, dark object racing through that zone. So something can be headed right at us…and we literally wouldn’t see it until it swings out from behind the Sun to announce itself to humanity.

 

This just happened with a comet from outside our solar system named C/2025 R2 Swan. Astronomers are watching this comet right now (October 2025). C/2025 R2 was not discovered earlier because of the Holetschek effect (solar blind zone) as the comet was less than 30 degrees from the Sun from August 7 to September 13. Fortunately, it is not headed toward the Earth.

 

It is this comet coming from behind the Sun that prompted me to want to discuss this again. I've been talking about this effect from a Biblical standpoint for 2 decades now...and now we have this happening. When rare celestial events start becoming a habit instead of a rarity it is time to consider what is going on.

 

Yes, a habit. We’ve had a few unusual bodies approach us like this just recently:

 

‘Oumuamua’ (2017)

ʻOumuamua’ was the first interstellar visitor ever detected. It wasn’t a normal comet - no obvious tail - and it wasn’t a normal asteroid. It came in fast, slingshotted around the Sun, and by the time we noticed it, it was already leaving. We basically saw the taillights. Its weird acceleration and cigar-like/flattened shape sparked years of debate about what it even was. What matters for us: it showed how easily something can enter, swing by the Sun, and then leave before we even realize we had company.

 

2I/Borisov (2019)

Borisov was the second confirmed interstellar object. Unlike ʻOumuamua', it behaved more like a classic comet with a visible coma and tail, so we could study it in a more familiar way. But its path was still clearly not bound to the Sun. Translation: it didn’t come from here. It was just passing through our neighborhood.

 

3I/ATLAS (2025)

3I/ATLAS is only the third confirmed interstellar object humanity has ever seen - meaning it didn’t form in our solar system; it’s cutting through from somewhere else. It was first spotted this year by NASA’s ATLAS sky survey system, and it’s currently making a close pass through the inner solar system. It’s headed around the Sun, which means for part of its trip it sits in that “can’t-look-there” zone, effectively hidden from most Earth-based watchers by sheer sunlight. Scientists are tracking its path, measuring the strange gases coming off it, and trying to learn what it’s made of as it swings in, heats up, and then heads back out. They’ve stressed that it’s not on track to threaten Earth - but the fact that something from another star system can just appear from the direction of the Sun and we only catch it on its way through is significant.

 

And now, C/2025 R2 Swan (2025)

Again, these celestial events are something new. Why does this keep happening, just now? And with increasing frequency?

 

We will get to that, but first, a more basic question:

 

Why do we miss things that come from near the Sun?

 

Glare - The Sun is so blindingly bright that it drowns out faint, fast-moving objects approaching near its line of sight.

 

Wrong tools - Solar spacecraft (like SOHO or STEREO-type missions) are built to watch solar flares and coronal mass ejections, not to hunt for every dark rock, alien iceball, or possible debris swarm threading through the sunlight.

 

Speed - Interstellar objects tend to move fast - tens of kilometers per second -because they’re not orbiting the Sun, they’re just cutting across the system and leaving.

 

Data lag - Even when something weird is recorded, it takes time for humans to analyze it. “We saw something; what was that?” is often answered days later. In space terms, days can be too late.

 

Here’s the point: we have a literal blind spot, and it’s aimed right at us.

 

We assume danger comes from the darkness. But biblically and scientifically, sometimes it comes blazing out of the light.

 

These recent visitors from behind the Sun remind me of a scenario that sounds a lot like Revelation 6:13–14:

“The stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its unripe figs when shaken by a mighty wind… Every mountain and island were moved out of their places.”  Rev 6:13–14

 

Let’s imagine a scenario that is scientifically harsh but not cartoon-level apocalypse. No magic. No “planet explodes.” Just physics, stress, and how fragile we actually are – and the book of Revelation:

 

Early October. Solar observatories notice something strange at the edge of the Sun - not by seeing it directly, but by noticing how other things are being tugged. A massive object, about 45 km across (think “small state”), is inbound on a hyper-fast path from interstellar space. It’s coming from the Sun’s blind side, so ground telescopes can’t get direct eyes on it yet.

 

Right now almost nobody on Earth knows it exists.

 

October 22. The object finally swings wide enough around the Sun that the whole world can see it.

 

For a few hours, this thing passes between us and the Sun. It’s not close enough or big enough to block the Sun the way the Moon does in a total eclipse, but it’s close enough to tint the light, to cast strange moving shadows, to make the Sun look bruised.

 

People describe it on video as “a black disc with a halo,” surrounded by a trail of debris reflecting sunlight like dust motes in a spotlight. As it moves nearer the black disc just keeps getting bigger…and scarier...and darker.

 

Everyone on Earth is on edge.

 

October 24. Nearest approach of the black disk – who turned down the lights?

The object doesn’t hit Earth. That’s important. There’s no extinction impact. Instead it passes incredibly close - closer than the Moon. Its mass drags on our planet as it swings by. That sudden, uneven gravitational pull acts like a giant hand grabbing Earth’s crust and flexing it.

 

Result:

* Multiple magnitude 8+ earthquakes tear through major fault zones.

* Islands shift. Some coastlines lift a few feet; others slump.

* Entire mountain faces peel off in landslides.

This is the “every mountain and island moved” moment. Not because Earth exploded, but because the whole shell of the planet rang like a bell.

 

Now, falling stars. As Earth moves through the trail of debris following this object, the sky turns into a meteor storm. Most of it burns up in the atmosphere - beautiful, terrifying streaks. But some pieces are big enough to hit:

* Punch-through damage to roofs and roads

* Local power outages

* Even some small craters

 From the ground, it looks exactly like the Bible described: fruit shaken loose and falling in the wind.

 

Now the aftermath.

 

October 26. The visitor is gone, slingshotting back out into deep space.

 

Earth is still here.

 

We’re bruised, not broken.

* Infrastructure is severely damaged, but repairable.

* Casualties are painful and local, but not species-ending.

* Global systems are rattled, but recovering.

* Where still functional, the internet is full of split-screen videos: earthquakes on one side, meteor rain on the other, Revelation 6 overlaid in white text.

And suddenly a question that sounded dramatic and distant is not distant anymore:

 

Was that just a natural near miss? Or was that a warning from above?

 

Can something like this really happen?

 

I checked this Revelation scenario through a number of scientific sources as well as multiple AI resources. They all agreed: This scenario is a scientific possibility.

 Here are some details:

 

Hidden approach - Yes. Objects can approach us from the direction of the Sun and we may not notice them right away. We have physically observed interstellar objects (ʻOumuamua in 2017, 2I/Borisov in 2019, and now 3I/ATLAS and  C/2025 R2Swan in 2025) only after they were already inside the solar system. Some of them were effectively “invisible” on the way in because of the Sun’s glare. We have observed these examples only recently.

 

Eclipse-like weird light - A large, fast-moving body crossing in front of  the Sun’s disk (from our line of sight) could create unusual dimming effects, even if different from a Moon-style eclipse. That’s just geometry and sunlight scatter.

 

Global shaking without an impact - A close flyby of a heavy object would change stress patterns in Earth’s crust. We already know the Moon’s gravity moves entire oceans. Scale that up and speed it up and you get quakes, slumping coastlines, mountains letting go.

 

 Meteor storm “like figs falling” - If Earth plows through a debris trail, we get a meteor shower. We see this every year with normal comets (Leonids, Perseids). Scale up the debris and throw in a few larger fragments and you’d absolutely get a terrifying, biblical-looking sky plus scattered ground strikes.

 

Human survival - Notice: in this scenario, Earth wasn’t hit head-on. That’s why we’re still here. Civilization is shaken, not erased.

 

So no, this is not fantasy. It’s not “the planet explodes in Hollywood fire.” It’s the kind of event where you could livestream Revelation 6 in real time and people would know it was true because they would also be experiencing it.

 

Bottom Line - Here’s the tension we’re living in with this:

– We now know things from outside our solar system can and do show up. We’ve already met four of them in less than a decade: ʻOumuamua in 2017, 2I/Borisov in 2019, and now 3I/ATLAS and C/2025R2Swan in in 2025. All four came from beyond the Sun’s control, cut through our neighborhood, and kept going. Why this many at this time? Are these previews of something bigger about to fulfill Bible prophecy?

 

– We still have a blind spot. The Sun, which gives life, also creates a cone of vision where we are effectively flying half-blind, so we may have very little advance knowledge if something bigger is coming.  

 

– Revelation describes a moment when heaven is not peaceful. It’s violent. It’s shaking. It’s not “gently inspirational.” It’s God saying, “You are not as secure as you think.” It’s a “get right with God” moment.

So this message is not fear bait. It’s an alarm with three notes:

Biblically, in these Last Days we should expect great signs from the sky:

“There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and on the earth anxiety of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the waves; men fainting for fear, and for expectation of the things which are coming on the world: for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.”  Luke 21:25-26

Yes, this can really happen. Bible prophecy cannot be broken. Actually, I broadcast a radio message about just this scenario from prophecy in Revelation two decades ago.
